How to Play Padbol

Padbol is played in a 2 vs 2 format on an enclosed court featuring a central net and glass walls that are an integral part of the game.

The objective is simple: return the ball to your opponents' side in a way that prevents them from making a legal return.

Basic Rules

Players are not allowed to use their hands or arms.

The ball can be played using:

  • Feet
  • Head
  • Chest
  • Knees
  • Shoulders

Each team has a minimum of two and a maximum of three touches, with both players required to participate in the play.

On each side of the court, the ball may bounce once before being returned to the opponents.

The glass walls are fully integrated into the game and can be used for rebounds, adding an extra tactical dimension similar to squash.

Serve

The serve is performed underhand after the ball bounces on the ground.

The ball must first bounce on the server's side of the court before landing in the designated service area on the opponents' side.

Scoring

Padbol uses a tennis-inspired scoring system.

Points are counted as 15 – 30 – 40 – Game, with games forming sets, following the traditional tennis format.

A match is won by the team that wins two sets.

The Red Zone

The area near the net, known as the Red Zone, allows players to volley the ball directly without a ground bounce.

This unique feature encourages fast-paced, attacking play and spectacular rallies.

The Spirit of the Game

Padbol combines the best elements of football, tennis, and wall play into one exciting sport.

It rewards technique, coordination, quick decision-making, teamwork, and creativity, delivering a unique experience for players of all skill levels.
